    I get many requests from readers all over the country — and often other countries, too! I try my best to be helpful.

    If you have a school project, you can find out more about me by reading the author’s notes to my various books and by reading this web site. If you e-mail me or send me a letter, I may respond and/or post it in whole or part on my blog. (If I do, look for your first name, school, and/or state.)

    If you don’t hear from me right away, I am most likely very busy researching and writing my next book. Don’t wait! You might get a bad grade if you turn in your project late.

    ~For Event Organizers~

    I enjoy meeting readers and teachers and librarians. A school visit is like bringing a field trip to the students–without the bus ride and long admission lines!

    Each year I do a limited number of school student programs. I have visited nearly nearly every state and schools as far away as Bangladesh! For trips that require an overnight stay, I request a minimum stay of two days. I also do a limited number of virtual visits through Skype.

    I also do a great deal of speaking — keynote addresses and/or other featured presentations — at conferences and conventions.
