I get many requests from readers all over the country — and often other countries, too! I try my best to be helpful.
If you have a school project, you can find out more about me by reading the author’s notes to my various books and by reading this web site. If you e-mail me or send me a letter, I may respond and/or post it in whole or part on my blog. (If I do, look for your first name, school, and/or state.)
If you don’t hear from me right away, I am most likely very busy researching and writing my next book. Don’t wait! You might get a bad grade if you turn in your project late.
You can send mail to me at P.O. Box 718, Moscow, PA 18444

I find it impossible to separate my love of story from my love of teaching and my love of learning. I often teach graduate classes and lead writing workshops and find excuses to take classes and workshops just for fun.
I also enjoy visiting schools as a visiting author. A school visit is like bringing a field trip to the students–without the bus ride and long admission lines!
Each year I do a limited number of school student programs. So far, I’ve visited schools in forty-two states. I have also visited schools as far away as Bangladesh, Egypt, and Singapore!
I also do a great deal of speaking — keynote addresses and/or other featured presentations — at conferences and conventions.
